The Puyallup Vikings and Rogers Rams baseball teams were defeated in the first round of the Class 4A state playoffs this past Saturday afternoon at Heidelberg Park in Tacoma. Be sure to check out the May 26th issue for a full recap of these two contests.

Rams boys basketball head coach Rico Ancheta is putting together a basketball camp for boys between seventh and tenth grade from 2:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. taking place from June 8 through 11 at Rogers High School.

Longtime Puyallup High School and Central Washington University basketball head coach Dean Nicholson will be inducted into the Washington State Sports Hall of Fame on June 3.
An open house/reception will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on June 4 at the Puyallup Eagles located at 202 5th Street, NW in Puyallup to honor Nicholson. All former players, students, teachers and friends are invited.

Rogers Rams girls basketball head coach Amy Looker is hosting a basketball camp this summer for girls looking to hone their skills on the hardwood. The junior high and high school camp will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. from June 7 through 10 at Ballou Junior High School.
The camp costs $40 per player and includes a tee-shirt, competitions, games, awards and a camp photo.

One run was all the Puyallup Vikings girls fastpitch team needed to defeat the Rogers Rams. The Vikings clinched the SPSL South fastpitch title, courtesy of a 1-0 win against Rogers on May 4 at Heritage Park.
